John's mother and father were Frances and John Ondricek.
His children were Adolph and Julia (Twins) Ondricek, Gustov Ondricek, and Frank Ondricek.
John died on February 13, 1909, leaving Kristina to raise the children. He lived 35 years, 8 months, and 16 days.
His death was caused by falling from a scaffolding that was at a friend's home. John and a friend were helping another friend repair his roof. The scaffolding was a long narrow board that had big hooks that were attached to both ends of the board. Somehow these hooks were attached by a rope to another set of big hooks that were hooked on the top ridge of the roof. The other man wanted to say something to John while they were both on the scaffolding. As he started to walk towards the end where John was, the scaffolding became loose, and down went both men. John fell on top of a picket fence. He died two years later as a result of the injuries sustained from the fall.
