Mr. Sumrow was, for many years, in the wholesale grocery business, owning Ten Day Wholesale. He was most recently the owner of Thrifty Mart in Gloster. He was a member of Galilee First Baptist Church in Gloster.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Harold Sumrow and Clara Aaron Sumrow.
He was survived by his wife of 52 years, Elsie Jackson Sumrow of Gloster; two daughters, Debby Biediger and husband Douglas, and Libby Eastwood and husband Jeff; one son, Joey Sumrow and wife Amy; one brother, James Harold Sumrow, Jr.; 4 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
