District Man Found Dead In Rostraver Twp.

A 33 year old Donora man was found dead early today in nearby Rostraver Township, apparently a victim of suicide.
The body of Andy Paulina, 940 Meldon avenue, was found slumped in he front seat of his car with a garden hose attached to the exhaust pipe and leading to the interior of the machine.
State police who investigated said there were no signs of violence and speculated that Paulina probably took his own life. Joseph Check of Monessen, was summoned but not immediately available for an official verdict.
Paulina's car was parked near the Pittsburgh Steel Company slag dump three miles east of Belle Vernon off Route 71. The discovery was made by (?) Freeline, Jr., about 30, of Kittanning, a high lift operator for the Frank Mashuda Construction Co.
The Mashuda Company is using slag from the Pittsburgh Steel Company dump for its construction job on the Express Highway extension from Speers to Rostraver Twp.
Freeline told police he reported for work at 5:30 a.m. when he noticed Paulina's car parked nearby. On closer inspection Freeline saw the hose attached to the exhaust pipe and running through the truck into the back seat.
He drove back to Belle Vernon where he notified State Police and Trooper William Ruettger was assigned to the case. Trooped Ruettger said the motor was still running when he arrived on the scene.
Police were unable to determine a motive for Paulina's action, but learned he was unmarried and was an employee of the Monessen Plant of Pittsburgh Steel Company.
A former resident of Monessen, Paulina had moved to Donora four years ago.
