Ora was the son of Owen T. and Lucy 'Davis' Owens, who moved from Monroe County, Missouri into this area of western Oklahoma. No obituary was found for Ora Combs. But, according to his father, Owen Comb's obituary, the Combs family had arrived from Missouri around 1900. The 1900 U. S. census finds the Combs family in Elk Township of Washita Co., Oklahoma. Ora's mother, Lucy, died during 1925 and his father, Owen, died during 1926: Both were buried at Canute, Oklahoma. At the time of Owen Combs' death in 1926, he was survived by sons: Pres, Roy, Cleve and Leslie Combs and daughter, Stella Mayberry.
