The York Dispatch, June 20, 1931

NEIMAN, June 20 – Mrs. Katie Henry, wife of Allen Henry, of near Shaffer's Church, died at 2:15 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the West Side Sanitarium, where she was admitted on Sunday. Mrs. Henry, who was ill but three days before going to the hospital where she was operated upon for appendicitis the same day, died of peritonitis. She was aged 41 years and 29 days.
She was an active member of Shaffer's Church and Sunday school, as well as of the missionary society of the congregation.
Surviving are her husband; five children, Romaine, Allene, Marie, Lester, and Fern Henry, all at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Strausbaugh, Brodbeck, and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Edward Snyder, Glen Rock; Mrs. Robert Bortner, Seven Valleys RD; Mrs. Harry A. Miller, Hanover Junction; Howard Strausbaugh, Glen Rock RD; Amos Strausbaugh, Brodbeck, and Mrs. John Musselman, Brodbeck.
The funeral will be held from the home on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock (EST), with concluding rites in Shaffer's Church. The Rev. W. H. Ehrhart, pastor of Jefferson Lutheran charge, will be the officiating minister. Burial will be in Shaffer's Cemetery. Funeral Director C. O. Goodling, Seven Valleys, has charge of funeral arrangements.
