DUKOWSKI, MARIE .. 1921 -- 2019

Born April 10, 1921 in Aalborg, Denmark, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully February 14, 2019.

Marie was predeceased by Adam, her loving husband, and by her sisters, Phyllis, Bertha and Joan. She is survived by her sons, Victor, Cornel and Albin- grandchildren Alison, Graham, Jason, Matthew, Kristen and Michael, as well as six great-grandchildren- Cameron, Julianna, Willis, Isla, Claire and Emmaline.

Marie and Adam met and married in Winnipeg and worked together in business there. They subsequently moved to Vancouver and continued working together while raising their three sons. Marie was also active in the Polish Women's Congress, for which she was recognized for her work on behalf of women's rights and as an interpreter in the courts.

Prayers will be offered on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 10 a.m. and Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Casimir's Catholic Church (1187 East 27th Avenue, Vancouver) followed by interment at Ocean View Burial Park. Many thanks to Dr. Daniel Ezekiel and the staff at South Granville Park Lodge.
