Patsy Myers Owens
October 5, 1940 - August 27, 2022

Patsy Myers Owens, 81, a resident of Bayou Vista, passed away peacefully, August 27, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Patsy was born October 5, 1940, in Lydia, Louisiana, the daughter of Edwin Myers and Lucy Louviere Myers.

Patsy enjoyed reading, puzzles, cooking, and baking for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed sitting on her patio watching God's creations of flowers, birds, squirrels, and especially red cardinals. Patsy's greatest joy was watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren playing in the back yard.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Joe Owens and wife Judy, Tammy Balli and husband Eddie, Johnny Owens and wife Karen, Lesa Savoy and husband Travis; siblings, Betty Guidry, Daniel Myers, Donald Myers, and Leonard Myers; 8 grandchildren, Amy Owens, Tiffany Benoit and husband Scott, Carin Palmature and husband Jared, Justin Owens and wife Sarah, Stephanie Collins and significant other Evin Burrell, Alyssa Cook and husband Tyler, Michaela Balli, and Caroline Owens; 13 great-grandchildren, Logan, Brantley, Amelia, Hudson, Adelyn, Landon, Andrew, Sydnei, Ivy, Henry, Isaac, Emma, and Lylah; her fur-baby, Molly; special friends, Mary and Ed Netterville, Lou Sonnier, Faye McDaniel, and Francis Bullard.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Lucy Myers; husband, Sidney Owens Jr.; sister, Peggy Myers; brother, Harold Myers; sister-in-law, Dorothy Myers; brother-in-law, Edmond Guidry.

Pallbearers will be Justin, Tyler, Scott, Jared, Evin, and Johnny. Honorary pallbearer will be her godchild, Eddie Guidry.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Tores and his staff at Ochsner Baptist, Heart of Hospice, and Dr. Cefalu, for all of their great care over Patsy. Also, a special thanks to Pastor Steve Kelly and Bayou Vista Baptist Church for all of their cards and prayers.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Bayou Vista Baptist with Pastor Steve Kelly Officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, August 29, 2022 at Twin City Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. from 8:00 p.m. and will resume at Bayou Vista Baptist August 30, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. until the time of services.

After services, Patsy will be laid to rest in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Centreville, Mississippi.
