Armentha (Ment) Pylant Dodd, born October 2, 1926, joined her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 8, 2007. Ment fought a courageous battle for eight years, but finally succumbed to complications from Alzheimer's disease. She was born in West Carroll Parish Louisiana to the late Willie Albert Pylant, Sr. and the late Ollie Mae Pylant. Ment was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Mark Gidrey Dodd and by her only son Al Dodd, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her brothers W.A. (Bill), Dry, and Marvin Pylant and her treasured nephew Robert A. Pylant. She is survived by her only daughter, Peggy Dodd Dore', her son-in-law, B.J. Dore', granddaughters Tracy L. Dodd and Katy Dodd Bream and grandson Al Dodd, Jr. Ment also leaves behind three brothers Till, Eugene, and Jimmie Pylant, one sister Willene Pylant Hendrix and six great-grandchildren.
