Mary Margaret Boring, age 91, formerly of Moline, KS, passed away September 7, 2022 at Mosiac Life Care Center in St. Joseph, MO.
Mary was born September 24, 1930 in Moline, KS to Henry Beechner Jr. and Margaret (McClintock) Beechner. She grew up alongside 2 siblings, Henry and Elizabeth. She attended schools in Moline before moving to Perry, OK, where she finished her education.
On December 24, 1946, she married James Strode in Perry, OK. Together, they had a daughter, Susan. Mary lived many places including Kansas City, Moline, and Wichita, and worked several places including the Postal Service as a mail carrier.
On December 8, 1956, she married Arce Mayford Boring. They enjoyed 33 years together until his passing in October 1989. In 1991, Mary then moved to St. Joseph, MO to be near her daughter. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Mary is survived by her 2 granddaughters, Jennifer and Stephanie
Nephews and niece, Johnnie Murphy and his wife Susan Brown of Arizona and Rick Beechner of Florida
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arce Boring, daughter Susan Strode King, brother Henry "Bud" Beechner, and sister Elizabeth Sinsel.
Graveside services for Mary will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at the Moline City Cemetery, Moline, KS.
