Dorothy Katherine Covington, 92, of Greenbrier, Tennessee, died on Friday, September 16, 2022. Born January 6, 1930, in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late Robert Meredith Goodlett and Dorothy Vernon Hows Goodlett.

She was retired from the Tennessee Education Association where she was a secretary. She was a member of Greenbier United Methodist Church. Dorothy's family will remember her as being an avid reader, someone who loved to dine out and traveled all over the world. Her family was very important to her and she will be missed dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph W. Covington; twin sister Nina Morris; sister Bobbie Hastings; brothers-in-law Fred Morris and Frank Hastings; nephews Ricky Morris and Michael Hughes.

She is survived by her daughter Karen (Jeff) Roop; son Robert (Charlee) Covington II; granddaughter Vanessa (Ryan) Murphey; great grandchildren JT, Tanner, and Tara; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and great great great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 22, from 1 pm until 2:45 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A graveside ceremony will follow at 3 pm in the Historical Spring Hill Cemetery.
