George Dailey was married to Rebecca Weller in about 1836 in Sussex County, New Jersey. In 1850 and 1860 he was living with his family in Knox County, Ohio; in 1870 he was living in Morrow County, Ohio. Rebecca passed away in 1870. He was married to Mary Knous in 1874 in Morrow County, and in 1880 the family lived at Chester, Morrow County, Ohio. George died in Knox County, Ohio on August 2, 1888, and was buried at Fairview Cemetery.

Children who appeared on censuses with George and Rebecca include Daniel, Ann, George, Arabella and Elizabeth in 1850. In 1860 the children included Daniel, Ann, George, Elizabeth, Emma and Maranda. In 1870 the children included George, Emma and Oden. In 1880 Oden was the only child remaining in the home.
