Galya was born in 1909 in Liozno, Vitebsk, Belarus. She was married to Zyama Avidon, who predeceased her by one month after he was abducted and tortured by Nazis. The couple had two children, whose names are unknown.

Galya was a victim of the Holocaust. She, along with her children and a majority of the other Jews of Liozno, were shot at the hands of Nazis in February 1942 at the Adamenskaya Ravine.
