Mrs. Georgianna Singer, widow of the late Charles E. Singer and one of Lewisburg's octogenarians, passed away at her home on Commerce street at 1:00 o'clock Saturday night. She had been in feeble health for some months and had never been the same since the death of her husband December 31, 1938.

Funeral rites were conducted from the residence Tuesday afternoon and were in charge of Rev. C. W. Snyder, pastor of the Otterbein United Brethren church, assisted by Rev. W.G. Peck, pastor of the local church. Burial was made on the family lot in Roselawn cemetery.

Survivors are two sons, Harry E. of Lewisburg and Lewis P. of Lincoln, California, one daughter, Mrs. Anna Hammon of this village; one brother, James Parmerlee of Bluffton, Indiana, six grandchildren, four of whom live in California and two in Lewisburg, and two great grandchildren.

Mrs. Singer spent all her life in Lewisburg where she was born and reared. She had been a member of the United Brethren church since her girlhood days and being a beautiful singer was a member of the church choir until quite recent years. She was also a charter member of the local chapter, Ideal, Order of Eastern Star.

Had she lived until March 2, she would have celebrated her 84th birthday anniversary. During Mrs, Singer's early life, she and Mrs. E. S. Lorenz (Flo Kumler) of Dayton were fast friends and were practically the same age. Recently Mrs. Lorenz suffered a severe stroke of paralysis which will probably render her more or less helpless the remainder of her life. Although their paths digressed later in life, this friendship continued throughout the years.
