Elisa Elizabeth Moss was the daughter of Francis Marion Moss & Nancy McMullen of Monroe Co., IA. She married James Thomas Griffin on 10 Oct 1883.

Mrs. Eliza E. Griffin Succumbs In Denair

TURLOCK, Sept. 13 – Mrs. Eliza E. Griffin, 80, died last night in the home of her only son, Marion A. Griffin of Denair, after an extended illness.

A native of Frederic, Iowa, Mrs. Griffin lived there until 1926, when she moved to Denair. She was a member of the Missionary Alliance Church of Denair. Her husband, James A. Griffin, died in 1937.

Mrs. Griffin was the mother of Miss Bonnie Griffin of Portland, Ore., in addition to her son, and sister of Mrs. Emma Moore and H. C. Moss of Denair and Mrs. Jane Himelick of Frederic. She also leaves two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Last rites will be conducted Friday at 10 A. M. in the Hale Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Clifford Grabill of Denair officiating. Interment will be in the Denair Cemetery.
