Mrs. S. V. Pennington of Manson, age 79, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 1:30 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Jensen. She had gone to the home of her daughter just to spend the evening and became suddenly ill and passed away the following morning.

Funeral services will be held at the Manson community church on Friday at 2 pm. Rev. J. A. Longston, and old friends of the family; will be here from Toppenish to conduct the service. Interment will be in the local fraternal cemetery. W. R. Higgins is the funeral director.

Emily Josephine Pennington was born, Feb. 8, 1855 at Arkadelphia, Arkansas. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. A. E. Ewing of Clinton, Wash. and Mrs. Carl Jensen, and Mrs. Fred Eatherton of Manson and Mrs. S. V. Pennington (should read Howell) of Manson.

Mrs. Pennington had been a life long church member and esteemed and loved by all who knew her.

Note: Daughters listed in obituary as Mrs. Fred Eatherton and Mrs. S. V Pennington/Howell are the same person. She only had three daughters.
