Geraldine Chatterton Bolin
February 4, 1930 ~ September 27, 2017

Geraldine Bolin, 87, passed away September 27, 2017. She was born February 4, 1930 in Huntington, West Virginia to Roy and Glenna Chatterton and was the oldest of two siblings.

A graduate of St. Francis Hospital, School of Nursing, Charleston, West Virginia, she spent 57 years as a Registered Nurse and was the recipient of "The Florence Nightingale Award" for service in "Excellence". She loved to tell stories of the Sisters that molded her as she was attending Nursing school and of her upbringing and old friends in West Virginia. Geri enjoyed plants, music, reading and helping people.

She was a believer in Christ and had a strong faith. She loved Angels in any shape or form. She was the epitome of an Angel herself! Over her lifetime in Nursing, she cared for many people. She worried about people and wanted to help or give to anyone in need. She selflessly tailored herself to fill the shoes you needed: a mother, a role model, a mentor, a friend, a sister, a confidant and your biggest fan; oftentimes, all at once. She had a very special deep love for her family and always watched over every member just as she will in Heaven. She was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, TX.

Survived by her children, Thomas, Mark, Paul, grand children, great-grand children and a host of friends. Mary Ruth Chatterton who proceeded her in death and Creel Casto who survived her in death.

The funeral will be held in the Abbey Chapel on October 2, 2017, burial to follow at the Abbey Mausoleum, Restland in Dallas, Texas...RFH
