David Gardner McPeters, 42, of Rt. 1, New Hope, died Sunday morning at the Fifth Avenue Hospital in Huntsville after a long illness.
A funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Fred Stewart and Elder James Dennis officiating. Burial was to be in Hayden Cemetery with Blythe Funeral Home of New Hope directing.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Katherine McPeters; three sons, David Franklin McPeters, U.S Air Force, Larry Joe McPeters and David G. McPeters Jr. of New Hope; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Bates, Mrs. Helen Hughey, Miss Joyce A. McPeters and Miss Brenda McPeters of New Hope; four brothers, Oliver McPeters of New Hope, James C. McPeters of Brownsboro, Wiley McPeters of Las Vegas, Nev., Harold McPeters of Clinton, Ala.; six sisters, Mrs. Mattie B. Riggins of Ardmore, Mrs. Alma Anderson of New Hope, Mrs. Odell Branton of Huntsville, Mrs. Inez Sneed of New Hope, Mrs. Pauline McKee and Mrs. Hallie Hornbuckle of Columbus, Ga., and four grandchildren.

**After his death, his wife, Katherine remarried to Buddy Brannum. She has a double stone with him and is buried in Kennamer Cemetery.
