Clyde Hicks was born July 20, 1940 in Clay County, Kentucky to the late Jesse Cas Hicks and Julia Hatfield Hicks. He was united in marriage to Lillie Carr Hicks who survives of London. He is also survived by his children Harvey Hicks and wife Kathy, Edward Hicks, all of London, and Sandra Lee Hicks Green and husband Robert of Tazewell, Tennessee; two siblings Woody Hicks, and Dora Ridge, both of London; 17 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Randall Hicks, and seven siblings, Emery Hicks, Johnny Hicks, Victor Hicks, Sambo Hicks, Lonia Jones, Lizzie Sullivan, and Nannie Mae Hughett.
He was a logger and of the Holiness faith.
Clyde Hicks departed this life Sunday, October 2, 2022 being 82 years, 2 months, and 13 days of age.
Funeral services for Clyde Hicks will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitt Cemetery in London.
