Berbin Ellis, 81, of Robbins, passed away in Cincinnati, Ohio Saturday May 27, 1972 after an illness of one year. He was the son of the late Edward Ellis and the late Martha Silcox Ellis. A member of the First Baptist Church in Robbins, a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 670 F &AM of Robbins. Survivors, wife, Pernie Ellis of Robbins, Tenn., four daughters, Mrs. Leola Hurtt, Mrs. Joetta Baugh, both of Ludlow, Ky., Mrs. Loretta Cirilli, Mrs. Glenna Calborn both of Detroit, Michigan, five sons, Eugene Ellis of Robbins, Tenn., M. J. Ellis of Hollywood, Fla., Berbin Ellis, Jr., James Edward Ellis, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, Charles Kenneth Ellis of Ludlow, Ky., two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Thompson of Elgin, Tenn., Mrs. Parthena Ellis of Hamilton, Ohio, twenty seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the Fist Baptist Church in Robbins, 2 p.m. Monday, May 29,1972 with Rev. Roy Blevins and Rev. Gary Parker officiating. Burial followed in the Hazel Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers were, Chad Ellis, Mike Baugh, Onvie West, Doah Lawhorn, Lloyd Lewallen and Dillard Hughett. West Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
