Marcialla Buelna was the seventh child born to Bonifacio Buelna and Gertrudis Higuera, and was baptized at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Watsonville, Santa Cruz County, CA. Her family lived in the Gonzales, Monterey County, CA area for most of her life.

On 19 Nov 1878 Marcialla married 24 yr old native Californian Juan Velardes in San Benito County, with Louis German and Isabel Ruiz, residents of Tres Pinos being the witnesses. In August 1979 Alejandro was born to Marcialla and Juan Velardes.

By the 5th of June, 1880 Marcialla, identified as Maria Valaris in the 1880 Census, married, and living in the home of her parents in Gonzales, along with one of her brothers and four sisters. Her small son was listed as Alexander Valaris who was living with her.

During the next few years two daughters were born, Ida and Isabelle. Ida was probably the daughter of V. Hernandez.

Marcialla's son Joseph B O'Haro, born 1891 was the son of Edward Michael O'Haro, aka Calistro Arros, as was possibly daughter Isabelle.

In 1900 Marcialla was identified as Marcada, the wife of Isadoro Sobranes. Her children are all listed with the name Sobranes: Lisandro,(1879) Ida,(1883) Isabel,(1889) Jose,(1892) and Patricio (1897). Another daughter, Rosa Blanca was born 07 Oct 1894, Firebaugh, Fresno, CA and baptized at St Joaquims in Madera, Madera, CA. This baby girl was named for Marcialla's sisters, twins Rosa and Blanca. Baby Rosa Blanca died very young.

By 1910 Marcialla, was known as Mary M, the wife of Peter Galan, and was living in Fresno with her son Patricio and a granddaughter, Amanda Gonzales.

In 1920 Mary Galan was a widow, living with her sons, Frank O'Haro and Joe O'Haro, in addition to her grandson Frank Hernandez.

Before her death in 1929 Marcialla married one last time to a Chevoya. She was buried next to her daughter Ida Hernandez Blanco
