She was married there on July 31, 1872 to Peter Boyes, the son of James Boyes and Caroline (Young) Boyes. Peter and Isabella came to the America in 1881 and settled in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
After Peter passed away in Grand Forks, his widow eventually homesteaded in what became Richland County, Montana next to her son-in-law Roy Day Collins on Second Hay Creek.
Isabella passed away on August 1, 1929 in Fairview, Montana and was buried next to her husband in Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
