J. Braden Fox, a carpenter residing at East Capitol avenue, died yesterday at his home, aged 51 years.

The funeral of J. Braden Fox will take place this morning from the residence, East Captiol avenue. James Fox, of Quincy, a brother, arrived yesterday. His other brother, T. L. Fox, resides in Wichita, Kas. and of his sisters, Mrs. Amanda Peace and Mrs. Thomas Carswell, live here and the other, Mrs. Jennie B. Tipton, in Peoria. He also leaves a wife and two sons, Leslie and Frank, residing here. As Mr. Fox was a member of the Tenth Illinois cavalry during the war, the old soldiers are requested to meet at G.A.R. hall, to attend the funeral.

The funeral of the late J. Braden Fox took place at his late residence yesterday morning, the services being conducted by the pastor of the First M. E. church, and the deceased being buried with the honors of the G. A. R. Mr. Fox was well known here, having come from Virginia when quite young. He married Miss Addie Shepherd of Lawrenceville, Ill., who, with their two sons, Leslie and Frank, survive to mourn their loss.
