The remains of Edward Fry, who died in San Francisco, Cal., Oct. 20, aged 53 years, arrived in the city yesterday noon, and were interred in Oak Ridge cemetery besides those of his grandparents, Gen. Fry of Carrollton, Greene county. The Rev. R. O. Post conducted a short service at the grave. The brother and the sister of the deceased, William M. Fry and Mrs. M. Ware, both of San Francisco, accompanied the remains to the city.

The date on the cemetery records of 10-20-1889 could be in error although it is on that month and year's listings. It could also be the date of burial as per interment notice above.
Edward Marion Fry, a well-known stock broker, and nephew of J. D. Fry, died last night at the residence of the latter of Bright's disease of the kidneys. The deceased came to California in 1860, and engaged in business in Sacramento as a member of the firm of Lindley & Co. wholesale grocers. He was subsequently a member of the firms of Parker, Fry & Co. and Fry, Neal & Co. He was a son of Gen. Jacob Fry of Lockport, Ill, formerly of Gov. Hancock's staff and was very popular with his large circle of acquaintances.
