GREENWOOD REMEMBERS
"Every stone has a story but not every story has a stone"
The people buried in the unmarked graves known as the Public Burial Site
The many record keepers through the years have made it possible to take a name from an index card in the Clarksville city office, entries from Ancestry.com, death certificates and old news stories, to trace & reconnect family members with these paper/digital records. Occasionally these paper trails turn up unknown relatives of local families. They were neighbors, relatives, friends - some who uplifted souls every week, helped take care of daily chores, provided building materials or services to the town folk, & taught the children . They helped keep Clarksville running, let's not forget them !
