RICHARD P. GADE, 73, of Eaton, died Friday, March 7, at his home after an extended illness. Born April 26, 1923, in Piqua, he was the son of the late Raymond and Lydia (Shirley) Gade, and had lived in Preble County since 1946. Mr. Gade started the Eaton Taxi Service in the 1940s, and was the owner of the former Gade Furniture Store and Gade Nursing Home. He attended the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis (Harris) Gade; three sons, Randy Gade of West Palm Beach, Fla., Richard E. Gade and Michael Gade, both of Eaton; six grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Konze of San Antonio, Texas, Glenna Goodwin of Florida and Penny Haug of New Jersey; nieces and nephews. A brother, Robert Gade, is deceased.

Funeral services were Tuesday, March 11, at the First Baptist Church, Eaton, with the Rev. Fred Hill officiating. Burial was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton.
