OBITUARY-May 17, 1939 Vernon County Broadcaster Viroqua, Wisconsin

"John F. Hall, oldest son of Benjamin and Katie Hall, was born May 24, 1850 near New Lexington, Perry County, Ohio, and passed away May 11, 1939 at Viroqua after an illness of several years at the age of 88 years, 11 months and 17 days.

In the fall of 1866 he came to Wisconsin in a covered wagon, with a sister and half-brother and wife; his parents, brother and younger sister coming later, settling in the town of Kickapoo.

On October 21, 1871, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Elnora Guist, and to this union ten children were born:

1. "WILL" WILLIAM FRANKLIN HALL, b. January-03-1873, Vernon Co., Wisconsin; d. February-27-1937, Ft. Steilacum, WA; WA State Hospital.

2. CORA BELLE HALL, b. April-04-1876, Readstown, Vernon Co., Wisconsin; d. October-31-1944, Kenosha, Wisconsin.

3. CHARLES ADAM HALL, b. October-21-1878, Readstown, Vernon Co., Wisconsin; d. January-16-1964, Viroqua, Vernon Co., Wisconsin.

4. FLORA ELLEN "ELLIE/ELLEN/ELLA" HALL, b. June-29-1880, Readstown, Vernon Co., Wisconsin; d. August-22-1948, Vernon Co., Wisconsin.

5. LYDIA ANN HALL, b. June-24-1881, Vernon Co., Wisconsin; d. 1947.

6. KATIE ANN HALL, b. Bet. 1884 and 1885, Kickapoo, Vernon Co., Wisconsin; d. Buried Readstown, Vernon Co., Wisconsin.

7. "EDD" NIRAM EDWIN HALL, b. July-23-1886, Spring Valley, Vernon Co., Wis.; d. December-08-1938, Ross, Wisconsin.
