George DuFrain, 84, widely known former resident of Earl Park, died Wednesday noon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harvey Webber, in Kentland, following a long illness.

Mr. DuFrain was born at St. Anne, Ill., coming to Benton County when nine years old. He farmed for many years until retiring and moving to Earl Park. He had lvied in Kentland for the past six years. He was first married to Della Arseneau and after her death, he married Matilda Boutin who passed away in 1937. He was a member of the Modern Woodsmen lodge.

Surviving besides the daughter, Mrs. Webber, are a foster son, Leo Marion of Elmwood Park, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Della Schantz of Chicago and two brothers, Peter of Chicago and Will of Sacramento, Cal.
