Obituary - John Kane, aged 85, of Yaphank, died early Tuesday morning, at the
home of his son, Herbert Kane, of 60 Bay Avenue, Patchogue, after a short illness. Mr. Kane had been a farmer in Suffolk County all his life. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of Mary Immaculate church, Bellport. A requiem mass was said at 9:30 this morning by the Rev. John Gorman in St Francis de Sales R. C. church, with interment In St. Patrick's cemetery, Southold. A Holy Rosary service was held last evening at 8 o'clock. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Kane, two sons, Herbert Kane
of Patchogue and William Kane of Brooklyn, one daughter, Mrs. Sarah Madison of Patchogue, a brother, Michael J. Kane of Patchogue, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
