Pat Kerr, our loving mother who cared above all else for her family, died of natural causes at home in Santa Cruz on Oct. 28, 2022, at the age of 93. Pat was born in Sterling, CO, on Jan. 19, 1929, to R.W. "Mac" Mahoney and Wilma Lowder and grew up in the small town of Willard. She was a Sterling High School class of 1946 graduate and attended Colorado State College of Education at Greeley.Pat was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Kerr, her parents, brother Edmund Mahoney and sister Jean Ramey.She is survived by her children James Kerr (Connie) of Aptos, Susan Kerr (Melody Randel) of Santa Cruz, Elizabeth Halperin (Keith) of San Francisco, and Patricia Kerr (Gerald Carlin) of Berkeley; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Sat., Nov. 5, at 2 p.m., Oakwood Memorial Park, Santa Cruz.
