Clifford H. Ellis, 92, passed away on Friday morning, November 4, 2022 at Bethel Pointe.

He was born on August 3, 1930 in Oneida, Tennessee, the son of Abel Ellis, Sr. and Mary (Smith) Ellis.

He went to Elementary and Junior High School in Oneida and graduated from Muncie Central High School.

Clifford served his country honorably in the US Marines for 3 years during the Korean War.

After his discharge, he came back to Muncie and married Joyce E. Ford in 1954.

He worked for Delco Battery in Muncie for 43 years. Went to trade school for 4 years and graduated from there with a tool and die certificate.

He had belonged to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Muncie and Anderson Elks and Moose Lodges, UAW #489, and was a Cub Scout Master at Cowan Schools. He and his wife enjoyed ballroom dancing with their friends at the Moose and Elks Clubs and could often be seen on those dance floors. Caring for their son Scott was mainly his life and working to provide for his family.

Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Joyce Ellis of Muncie; one daughter, Terri L. Sank (husband, George) of Muncie; one son, Larry L. Ellis (wife, Peggy) of Phoenix, AZ; grandson, Tyler S. Ellis; granddaughter, Lindsey N. Ellis; one brother, Lawrence Ellis; one sister, Florence Stanley; sister-in-law, Donna Mills (husband, Danny); and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law, Valetta Ford and his son, Scott A. Ellis.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2022 with Pastor Nancy Hunt officiating.

Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Military Honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corps
