• Funeral services for Clemon Franklin, 88, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Jehovah Baptist Church with the Rev. W.S. Wallace officiating. Interment will be in the Jehovah Cemetery.
Franklin was born May 11, 1914, in Milo to Haston and Carrie Patrick Franklin. He died May 12, 2001, in the Ardmore hospital. He was preceded in death by three infant sons; a daughter, Ceola Bennett; a brother, Wilbert Franklin; and a sister, Epimethus Robertson.
He is survived by four children, Carrie Franklin, Duncan, Katherine Reed, Milo, and Quilla Battles and Travis Franklin, both of Lone Grove; three brothers, Otis Franklin, Del City, Martin Franklin, Oklahoma City, and Millard Franklin, San Diego; five sisters, Johnny Mae Howard, Oklahoma City, Nadine Pickens and Alma Jean Douglas, both of Milo, Rosa Lee Evans, Houston, and Virgie Lidy, Phoenix; and 17 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Services are under the direction of Ragsdale-Grant and Sons Funeral Home.
