Virgie Lee Lidy, 90, of Casa Grande, died Jan. 13, 2007 at RTA Hospice House.

Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The funeral will follow at 2:30, with Elder Clarence Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mrs. Lidy was born April 2, 1916 in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and was a daughter of Haston and Carrie Franklin.

Survivors include eight daughters, Ivy Collins of Casa Grande, Marilyn Curtis of Phoenix, Tennie Hammons and Cecilia Batson of Stockton, California, Mary Cardenas of Arizona City, Aretha VanScoy of Avondale, Nelda Lidy of Tucson and Janna Lidy of Phoenix; three sons, Samuel Lidy Jr. of Florence, Billy Lidy of Mesa and Richard Lidy of Phoenix; 51 grandchildren; 120 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Sr., in 1991; two daughters, Ivey J. Scott and Ella S. Manuel; a son, Bennie Autrey; a sister, Etha Robinson; and two brothers, Wilbert and Clem Franklin.
