Graveside services for LuVerne Jones, 66, of Weed will be at 1:00 pm Thursday at Lawncrest Cemetery in Redding, California.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until noon Thursday at Alan and Dahl Chapel in Redding.

Mrs. Jones died Tuesday, August 27, 2002 at Redding Medical Center.

Born April 19, 1936, in Nogo, Arkansas to parents John "David" and Verna (Yarber) Forrester. She moved to Siskiyou County in 1942 from Shady Cove, Oregon. On October 4, 1959 she married Ronald "Gene" Jones at Bethel Assembly of God Church in Medford, Oregon. Mrs. Jones attended Christian Life Center Assembly of God Church in Dunsmuir.

Survivors include her husband, Gene; sons, Ronald Jr. and Gary Jones of Weed; daughters, Roberta Smith of Martinsville, Indiana, and Teresa Jones of Marysville; brothers, Ray Forrester of Newell, Jim Forrester and Russell Forrester both of Klamath Falls, Oregon; and three grandchildren.

Preceded her in death were her parents and sister Lorraine Stone of Burney.

Arrangements are being handled by Allen and Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding.
