Our precious mother, Catherine Stephens was guided by our Lord and Savior to her castle in heaven on November 8, 2022. Catherine was born in New Castle, DE in 1930.

Catherine was predeceased by her husband Edward Stephens, parents William and Florence Ellsworth, siblings William Ellsworth, Jacob Ellsworth, Agnes Kowalczyk, and Wayne (Bud) Ellsworth, daughter Edna Miller, son-in-law Bruce Robinson Sr., and grandsons Dale Brown and Michael McGirr.

Catherine is survived by her children Kathleen Robinson of Dover DE, Agnes Brown (Mack) Lenoir, NC, Edward Smith (JoAnn) of New Castle, DE, and Doris Altizer (Chad) of Dover, DE whom she raised with love and devotion.

Catherine is also survived by a sister Claire Nunn of Christiana, PA and son in law James. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Catherine is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends who dearly loved her.

Catherine lived with her daughter, Kathleen and son-in law for many years in Dover DE, she retired from Eckerd Pharmacy. Catherine was a member of the Freedom Biker Church for many years. She also attended New Harvest Baptist Church of Dover, DE. Catherine loved to play cards, bingo and the penny machines at Delaware Park. Catherine love to spend time with her children, and their families.

A viewing will be held at Freedom Biker Church, 79 Christiana Rd, New Castle, DE 19720 on November 18, 2022 at 11:00 am. Services will begin at 12:00 pm with interment to follow in Glebe Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriot Way, Milford, DE 19963 in Catherine Stephens' memory.
