Lillian R. Demers, 85, of 344 Glen Hills Road, wife of the late Wilfrid Demers, died at the Curtis Home Tuesday, following a lenghty illness.
Born in Fall River, Mass. Jan. 30, 1895, she was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs John Ritchotte and lived here for the past 15 years. She was educated in Meriden where she lived as a young girl before moving back to Fall River. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs Beatrice Cuny of Ohio, Mrs Yvonne Soares, Mrs Jeannette Gagne, and Mrs Madelaine Robillard, all of Meriden; three sons, Wilfred Demers, of Fall River, George Demers, of Meriden and Roland Demers, of California; 22 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and three nieces and nephews.
Funeral Friday at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E Main St., and at St. Joseph's Church. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
