Moravian writer and politician. Born Dominik Nejezchleb, he was born in the village of Babice nad Svitavou to Dominik and Františka (Sedláková) Nejezchleb. He worked as a farmer for much of his early life, but later moved to Brno. He started writing in the early 1900s under the pen name Jaroslav Marcha. In 1925, would legally change his surname to Nejezchleb-Marcha, after his pseudonym. Starting off small with local newspapers, his writing would later branch off into magazines and many books. A more notable feature in his writings was his love for nature. Many of his writings feature the natural beauty of his homeland and childhood experiences, from which he received his most inspiration. A few of his writings include "Halali haló" (1929), "From the Window of a Quiet House" (1940), Bird Bread (1921), "On the Village" (1927), and "Wanderings I" (1906).

He was elected as a member of the Czechoslovak National Assembly in 1920 and served until 1935, when he was elected Senator. He was a member of the Republican Party of the Agricultural and Peasant People (RSZML) until its merger into the National Unity Party in 1938. Upon the abolition of the National Assembly in 1939, his presence in politics would begin to fade. He served as chairman for the Moravian Circle of Writers until 1941 and was involved in other organizations after his political era.
