Ruth Werth Fernandez

Loving wife and mother passed away peacefully on October 19th, 2005 at Washoe Medical Center. Ruth was born on April 10th, 1922 to John and Rose Werth in Lehr, North Dakota. She married Ernest Fernandez 62 years ago, on August 15th, 1943. Ruth graduated from Modesto Union Academy and worked as a telephone operator for several years. She then worked for JR Bradley Co. in Reno until she re tired in 1984. She loved knitting, crocheting, gardening, RVing, reading, and walking. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and a friend to many. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Sr. (1969) and Rose (1987); her brothers, Jacob (1947), Walter (1985), John Jr. (1992); her sisters, Barbara Werth (1920), Maggie Beach (1996), Christina Miller (1999), Ester Koepplin (2004), and Hulda Dias (2005). She is survived by her husband, Ernest; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Jack Brownell; son, Robert Fernandez; grandchildren, Mike Brownell, Craig and Sterling Fernandez, Tawny Zaugg, and Jackie Wheeler, and great grandchildren Michelle, Glen Jr, and Daniel Wheeler; sister, Martha Koepplin, A public viewing is scheduled for Monday, October 24th, 2005 at Ross, Burke & Knobel Mortuary, 2155 Kietzke Lane, Reno, from 11:00am 1:30pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 1:30pm. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery, 435 Stoker Ave, Reno, at 3:00pm. Memorials may be made to the Childrens Miracle Network, 1300 Mill Street, Reno, 89502.
