Died at 8:40 a.m. Saturday, April 10, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. A native of Hampton, Ark., she was 71 and resided here at 2545 Duke St. Had lived in Gloster, Miss., a number of years before moving to Baton Rouge 10 years ago. Was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral services at 1:45 p.m. Sunday at the Rabenhorst parlors with religious rites at 2 p.m. at Istrouma Baptist Church with the Rev. S. C. Rushing officiating. Interment in Oaklawn [sic Roselawn] Cemetery in Gloster, Miss. Was widow of the late Ura Koen.

Surviving are five sons, C. E. and W. F. of Leesville, H. C. of Pine Bluff, Ark., M. C. of Gurdan, Ark., and C. J. of Kinder; six daughters, Mrs. A. L. Wilkinson and Mrs. Paul Haines of Morgan City, Mrs. Christino Figueroa of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs. Lucille Brumfield and Mrs. John M. Shaw of Baton Rouge and Mrs. Eloise Cain of New Orleans; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Sanders, North Little Rock, Ark.; one brother, B. C. Halley, Temple, Tex.

Active pallbearers: Alton Wilkinson, Carl Koen Jr., John M. Shaw, Jimmie Smith, C. E. Koen Sr., Christino Figueroa.

Honorary: Luther Dodge, Howard Rube, B. A. Grace, Mack Lerod, Lloyd Siemann, Lanie Smith.
