Evelyn Luella Tokas, 81 of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Liza's Place in Wheeling, WV.

Luella was born on December 6, 1940, in Reader, WV a daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Evelyn Lucille (Haught) Miller. In addition to her parents, Evelyn is preceded in death by her only son, Andrew Kent Tokas, Jr. on March 16, 2017; three sisters, Shirley Jean Williams, Wilma Joyce Noel, and Monica Woodrene Miller.

Luella graduated from Wellsburg High School Class of 1958 and went on to West Liberty State College to earn her bachelor's degree in teaching with a minor in music in 1962. While in college she attended Oslo University in Norway for a summer study. Luella retired as a teacher in Brooke County having taught at several schools. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Wellsburg, WV, WVU Homemakers Extension and a lifetime member of the Daughters of American Revolution. Brooke County Museum Board, Genealogy Society, and loved giving back to all kinds of charities.

Luella is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years Andrew Kent Tokas, Sr. at home; two daughters, Heather Tokas and Lisa (Robert) Hilt both of Wellsburg, WV; six grandchildren, Cedric and Mya McAllister; Nathan (Joie) Smith, Amber (Joseph) Nicholson, Cassidy Carroll, Jeg Hilt; four great grandchildren, Nathaniel and Logan Smith, Ella Nicholson, Mila McAllister; a sister, Janice Lee (Keith) Wentz of Colbert, GA; several nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
