She was born Oct. 7, 1919 in Davenport, Iowa to the late Edward Alfred Leinen and Bertha Meade.
She was adopted November 20, 1920 by the late Charles Kinion "Kenneth" Walden (150432534) and Hildagard "Hilda" Amelia Sunderbruch (11210980).
She was also preceded by her husband, Lyle Frederick Edwards and a daughter, Fredericka Ann Edwards.
She worked for many years as a nurse and ward clerk in hospitals and was a member of the Commerce Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and White Shrine.
She is survived by daughter, Suzanne (James) Regan; son, Carl Edwards; seven grandchildren; Erin and Khalil Khameneh, James and Traci Regan, David and Linda Regan, Brian and Angela Regan, Jason and Kellie Regan, Christopher Edwards and Dawn Delorenzo; fifteen great-grandchildren: Shawn and Amanda Khameneh, James, Jessica, Jennifer, Victoria, Samantha, Brandon, Nicole, Madison, Andrew, Ethan, Nicholas Regan, Benjamin and Jack Delorenzo.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date to honor the lives of both Lyle and Shirley Edwards, together forever.
