Barbara was the youngest of five children born to Adam Henry and Jettie Mae (Moose) Peeler. No known spouse or children.

GRANITE QUARRY -- Barbara Ann Peeler, 65, of Granite Quarry, died Thursday (March 28, 2002) at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 10, 1936, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Adam H. and Jettie Moose Peeler. She was a graduate of Granite Quarry High School and Lenoir Rhyne College with a business degree.
She retired from the Rowan-Salisbury School, Central Office as a bookkeeper and payroll personnel after 42 years.
A life member and active member of Wittenberg Lutheran Church, she was a member of ELCA, the past president of the Association of NC and Notional Association of Educational Office Professionals, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #448 and a member of the town of Granite Quarry Historical Centennial Committee.
Survivors include sisters Rebecca P. Henderson, Statesville, Edith Fraley, Granite Quarry, and Nancy P. Kluttz, Signal Mountain, Tenn.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Wittenburg Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Linda Voelker, pastor, and Pastor and the Rev. David Lohr, former pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation: 6 to 7:30 p.m. tonight at Powles Funeral Home.
