ALONZO "AL" HUDSON, the beloved son of the late Albertis and Sarah Hudson, was born on June 11, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland. On Sunday, May 19, 2019, the angels closed his eyes after a brief illness.
He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System then enlisted in the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge for his service. Afterward, he gained employment with General Motors, located on Broening Highway, where he retired after 30 years of employment.
Al accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and rededicated his life in his later years.
In 1970, he married the love of his life Arnetta Garnes. From this union, they were blessed with two children whom he loved dearly.
Al was a master cook and took great pride with his meal preparations. From frying fish on every Saturday to cooking a large dinner with all the fixings every Sunday. In his spare time, he loved fishing, listening to good music, watching movies and westerns, hanging with family and friends, telling jokes, laughing, eating shrimp and steamed crabs.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory: his loving wife, Arnetta Hudson; two children, Shawn Hudson (Shawann) and Janean Brooks (Malik); three grandchildren, Davon, Simone, and Shane; four brothers, Elder Larry Hudson (Leslie), Earl, Linwood, and Norman; three sisters, Rosa Cherry, Alberta Franklin, and Cynthia Pratt (Tinell); two brothers-in-law, Marvin and Otis Jr.; five sisters-in-law, Marquise Garnes, Linda Edwards (Vernon), Evangelist Delores Alcindor, Joyce Ann Garnes, and Lisa Covington (Charles); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
