Mrs. John (Minnie) Poeffel, 85, of Columbus died Thursday in Columbus Community Hospital.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church in Butler County, with the Rev. Paul J. Rutten officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Church Parish Cemetery.
Visitation is after 1 p.m. and rosary recitation is at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at McKown Funeral Home.
Mrs. Poeffel, born July 24, 1895 in Howard County, was the daughter of Frank and Caroline Siedel. She married John Poeffel Feb. 13, 1917 at St. Joseph's Church. They lived on a farm south of Columbus.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Andrew (Hilda) Micek of Shelby, a son LeRoy Poeffel, Columbus: nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Della Zohner, Columbus Manor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John in 1974, two brothers Frank Siedel and Herman Seidel and 3 sisters, Mrs. George (Johanna) Supencheck, Mrs. Frank (Annie) Bock and Lena Seidel.
