MAUSOLEUM marked George W. Metcalf. Buried here with no headstone. Another woman relative is also buried here with no headstone-not sure who.

OBITUARY Douglas (Wyoming) Budget Oct 16 1919
Mrs. Susie Webel Metcalf, wife of George W. Metcalf, died in St. Luke's hospital, Chicago, last Friday evening. Though in poor health for several years, her serious illness dates from an attack about a month ago. Enroute to Chicago in a car she suffered a slight paralytic stroke at Cheyenne and was forced to continue the journey by train. At Chicago, another stroke caused no hope to be entertained of her recovery. Her husband and daughters were with her in Chicago.
Mrs. Metcalf had been a resident of Douglas for over thirty years, coming here as a bride. She had met her future husband several years before at Fort Fetterman when on a visit to her brother, C. M. Webel, with whom Mr. Metcalf was associated in business. On February 22, 1888, they were married at her home in Chicago and came at once to Douglas. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C. D. Zimmerman and Katherine. A son died many years ago.
The funeral was held in Chicago Sunday afternoon, burial being in the family plot in a cemetery there.

RELATIVE is grandson Robert Zimmerman.

FAMILY INFORMATION says she was second of five children born to Philip Webel & Katherine Beerbaum of Chicago.
