Duncan, Okla. — ELNA OSSENBECK, 88, of Duncan, Okla., formerly of Rogers, Ark., passed away March 31, 2011, at her home in Duncan. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel, with Monk Firestone officiating. Interment will be at the New Velma Cemetery under direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home.
Elna was born Sept. 20, 1922, at Kingston, to W.D. and Hattie B. (Thorne) Haynie. She had worked for Cotton Electric and was a member of the Independent Baptist Church in Rogers.
Survivors include a son, Billie Gene Ossenbeck of Amarillo, Texas; two daughters, Barbara McNeill of Duncan, and Patricia Diane Manley of Lake Dallas, Texas; and numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Dixon Ossenbeck.
