Jacob Little, age 96 of Ider, died Friday, July 28 at Dekalb Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are Sunday, July 30 at 4 PM CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Elder Darin Carter and Elder Matthew Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Fuller Cemetery with both Masonic Rites and Military Honors. Family will receive friends Saturday from 4 to 7 PM and Sunday from 1 PM until service time.

Survivors include son, Cleatus Little(Tomoko), daughter, Stacey Little Hammond, grandchildren, Miquela Morton, Tia Smith(Johnathan), Alex Little, Liana Little, great-grandchildren, Jaden Martinez, Kamden Morton, Landon Martinez, several nieces and nephews.

Jacob was inducted into the United States Navy on December 28, 1944. He was honorably discharged on April 20, 1946, with the rank of Seaman 1st Class. During his time in service, he was sent to the Pacific Theater, going from Pearl Harbor to three different islands in the Marshall Islands. Upon returning home he began a career at the Henagar Barber Shop that spanned 54 years during which time he also farmed. He was a member of Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church, Ider Ashlar Lodge # 677 and Alhambra Shriners Temple in Chattanooga.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Sylvester and Bonnie Chapman Little, wife of 66 years, Verlon Crabtree Little, sister, Lillian Little Blaylock, brother, John(Vester) Little and Everett Little. * You are missed and were very much loved.
