She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mary Ellen Asher, and brothers Jesse Ortiz, Ishmael Ortiz, Paul Ortiz, and Manuel Ortiz.
Josephine professed in the Catholic faith at an early age and was educated in the St. Joseph, Missouri Catholic Schools. She was a 1971 graduate of Bishop LeBlond High School, St. Joseph, Mo.
She leaves to cherish her memories her two beautiful daughters: Paula Diane Ortiz and Jacqueline Wells; her grandchildren: Cierra Marie Davis, Paul Nathaniel Ortiz, Kevin Tyrone Woods, Jr, Devon Wells, and Lewis Carl Wells, all of Kansas City, Missouri; her sister Linda Brionnes; brothers Joe Ortiz and Robert Aranda. A host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
