Dorothy "DOT" Burnett
February 25, 1941 - December 19, 2022

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Burnett, 81, of Hokes Bluff, will be on Thursday, December 22, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel with Anthony Neely officiating the services. Burial will follow in Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 12 Noon until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Burnett passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022.

Mrs. Burnett was preceded in death by her parents: Arthur W "AW" Battles and Odell Battles; and brother: Richard Battles.

Left to cherish the memory of Mrs. Burnett is her husband of 62 years: Marshall Burnett; daughter: Dell (Michael) Jackson; grandchildren: Amber Clark, Tiffani (Ben) Lipscomb, and JT (Dacia) McBurnett; great-grandchildren: Shyanne Murphy, Ben Lipscomb, Jr., and Brogan Lipscomb; sisters: Ella McCord, Teresa (Bill) Brown, and Deborah Davis; brothers: Wesley (Glenda) Battles and Edward Battles; a host of nieces and nephews; a special friend: Bill Meroney.

Mrs. Burnett was a member of Brierwood Hills Baptist Church. She loved to read, spend time with her family and have get togethers. She loved her husband, her grandkids, and great-grandkids. To know mom was to love mom. She was a good woman with a big heart and if she could help anyone in any way she would.

Special thanks to Encompass Hospice, nurse: Jennifer and especially Nurse Payton for taking care of mom and checking on her even when she didn't have to.
