Fielding Lewis married in Henry County, Mo. in 1861, Mary Ellen Rains (1842-). He enlisted as Pvt., Co. K, 7th Mo. Inf. (CSA) on August 30, 1862. He died while in Confederate service in McKinney, Tx. A son was Lawrence Howell Lewis (1862-1933).
