MRS. HARRIETT KEEBY SUMPTER - A native of Plateau, Alabama and a resident of Mobile, Alabama for several years died at a local nursing home, June 22, 1981. She was a member of Stone Street Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Thomas J. Sumpter, Montgomery, Alabama, Robert Lee Sumpter, Monticello, Arkansas; one adopted son, Ernest Amerson, Mobile, Ala., one granddaughter, Veronica Andre Sumpter; two brothers, Dell Keeby and Joe Keeby, both of Plateau, Ala.; one sister, Mrs. Helen Richardson, Plateau, Alabama; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Bettye W. Sumpter, Montgomery Ala.; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Alapha Keeby and Mrs. Mary L. Keeby; a host of nieces, one devoted, Mrs. Patricia Brown, other relatives and friends.


Visitation will be at Stone Street Baptist Church, Monday, June 29, 1981 after 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 1981 at 11:00 a.m., from the church with the Rev. Charles A. Tunstall officiating. Interment will be in Plateau Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Johnson-Allen Mortuary, Inc., 600 Chestnut Street.
